Kaspar – Phoenix

KasparKaspar went all the way to Kingston, New York, very close to Woodstock, to record with American producer Malcolm Burn their debut album, which is inspired by the enigma of Kaspar Hauser, a 19th century German foundling who after 15 years of total isolation in darkness became a symbol of empathy and forgiveness after his mysterious appearance in Nurenberg in 1828. The trio, formed by songwriters John McGregor and Mikael Hakkarainen with drummer / pianist Tuomas Hakkarainen, practices a laid back acoustic folk pop with atmospheres as enchanting as the legend that inspires these songs.
