Clocking in over six minutes, this track is an epic pop song of cinematic textures, orchestral instrumentation and a myriad of electronic and acoustic instruments. The whole record is said to be a continuous piece, so be ready for a grandiose experience. It will hit the stores on 15 February.
Based in the west coast of Finland, in Turku, indie band Maglevs has been preparing its debut EP and now offers the first taste of it. Bicycle Dream has an upbeat rhythm with punching synths, a little bit of noise and a good amount of dance pop before the tune takes a spacey turn.

The Guardian’s music blog shared some nice words about electro pop, post-indie duo Phantom and also premiered the duo’s new song, Kisses. It’s a combination of a jazzy vocal performance, whispers and creepy beats. According to the British paper, the song even features a sample by Erik Satie’s Gymnopédie No 1. The business plan of these two self-defined music tech-startup entrepreneurs is on the right track to make Phantom one of the most talked Finnish acts this year. We said it first, the next big thing out of Helsinki.
Indie folk band Greymouth started the new year giving away the new song Paris, London. It features great dynamics driven by a very cool bass line, while singer Elisa Husu delivers another strong performance that dominates the song. An uplifting way to start the new year.
